I love how you can always tell it's her. The regulars will know what I'm talking about. It turns out that Ruby, a smart and cautious bear, had parked her kids in a safe place while she performed a quick inspection of the porch before the formal meet-and-greet. I can't emphasize how quiet these animals are. I turned my head to the left and... it was there! Munching on weeds. No warning sound at all.
